Here are the links to the applications for CIHR, NSERC and UBC Affiliated Scholarships. The internal deadline to have your NSERC or Affiliated applications complete is Friday, Sept 25. Please save a copy of it, and scan and email it to me that day. Do not submit it on-line until I tell you, as I will need to go over each application to look for mistakes (and yes, mistakes are always made). Please check with me in regards to transcripts – I may or may not have your transcripts, so you will need to check with me and find out. If I don’t, it is up to you to order an official copy and have it sent to me. If printed copies from the UBC system are acceptable, I can print them for you. If they are not, then you must order a UBC transcript and have it sent to me. Make sure you are registered in your thesis course before you order one, because to be acceptable, it must show registration in the 2015/2016 winter session. Please read scholarship directions carefully. If you have any questions, please let me know.
If you are applying for CIHR – it is a direct application date of Oct 1, so there is no internal deadline.

UBC Affiliated Fellowships:
The doctoral Affiliated Fellowship competition runs in concert with the university-adjudicated Tri-Agency (NSERC, and SSHRC) Canada Graduate Scholarships competitions. Students who submit an NSERC or SSHRC Tri-Agency application to their graduate program are automatically considered for open Affiliated Fellowship funding (to be considered for a criteria-based award, please submit https://www.grad.ubc.ca/sites/default/files/materials/awards_affiliated_criteria_based.pdf). Those applying only for Vanier or CIHR doctoral funding must submit a separate and complete Affiliated Fellowship application in order to be considered.

SSHRC and NSERC doctoral Canada Graduate Scholarships (CGSD):
Applicants applying through UBC will either be:
· currently registered at (or were registered at during the year of application), or are on an approved leave of absence from, a degree program at UBC.
· not currently registered at UBC; or are registered, but not in a degree program; and have completed all of the requirements for a degree program from UBC since January 1 of this year
