TA Union Orientation – let me know if you are interested in attending this. by Monday, Aug 25‏

For those wishing to TA, or those who already have a TA ship lined up, an orientation is planned by the TA Union rep. Please let me know if you will attend and what time you are available on Monday, Sept 8 – it will be here at the Genome Sciences Centre.

Greetings!

My name is Kaitlin. I am the member of the executive of CUPE 2278 in charge of organizing the departmental orientations for both new and returning teaching assistants with respect to their union membership and rights.

We are hoping that for everyone’s convenience it will be possible to include a 15-20 minute time slot for this union orientation during any departmental training or orientation for TAs. If the Bioinformatics department does not have a planned orientation, I will be happy to work with you to schedule a union orientation at a convenient time within the first two weeks of September.
