I’m the lead of the GSAT 501 (“intensive laboratory course”) module on bioinformatics, and I’m looking for a second TA. I’m especially hoping to get someone who is experienced in sequencing analysis (aligners, variant calling etc.) as we want to include more of that this year and to help out the sequencing module of the course. This is a paid job and would require some preparation ahead of the September 22-26 module. The class is pretty much all day with lectures, ‘labs’ and guided activities. The total time commitment would probably be around 40 hours including the prep and grading, more if new curriculum material is developed. If you are interested please contact me at paul@chibi.ubc.ca.
