By casshyr on March 29, 2016
StemCellTalks 2016 is a free high school initiative established to
facilitate knowledge transfer between academia and high school students
pertaining to the science and practical ethics. For more information,
here is the link to our webpage: http://explorecuriocity.org/Explore/ArticleId/4275/stemcelltalks-vancouver-4275.aspx
Our
event this year will take place on May 13, 2016 at the UBC
Pharmaceutical Sciences building. The theme this year is Cancer Stem
Cells and Cell-based Therapeutics. We are currently recruiting
volunteers for various roles such as managing student registration and
logistics as well as breakout session leaders. As a breakout session
leader, you would lead and facilitate group discussion with the high
school students regarding research questions, clinical case studies, and
ethical issues. Don't worry, we'll be providing a training session for
this role!
Please fill out the following registration form if you wish to volunteer for this event. http://goo.gl/forms/Xx7gNYwVdv
