Dear students and faculty,
Registration is now open for the 2016 B.I.G. Research Day on Friday, March 11th at the UBC Nest! This multidisciplinary retreat is a great opportunity to meet and discuss with other graduate students and faculty, and learn about the exciting interdisciplinary research happening at UBC. The event will include a keynote talk from Dr Lynne Quarmby, a professor of Molecular Biology & Biochemistry at Simon Fraser University and the Science Critic for the Green Party of Canada. It will also include workshops from local professionals and technology talks from fellow students. For more information about our speakers, workshops, and schedule, check out our website at http://retreatbtpiop.wix.com/big2016.
The registration and abstract submission deadline is MONDAY, FEBRUARY 22nd. Please note that all students in their second year or above are expected to present a poster. Registration is required for all attendees.
Please contact us at <retreat.btpiop@gmail.com> if you have any questions.
Cheers,
B.I.G. Research Day Committee
