Student printing posters – please respond to this email by March 11

Hi All,

The program has some extra money that it needs to spend before the end of March, so the program will pay for the retreat posters for those that are having new ones printed.

If you are having a poster printed for the retreat – let me know by this Wednesday, March 11, by 4:00 pm as I need to know numbers. Please provide your name and where you will get your poster printed. Options are:

1) UBC: Follow the poster guidelines attached and then send me the finished pdf, which I will up load for you to the UBC site. Please send this to me no later than Monday, March 16th by 12:00 noon. Once it is printed, you will need to pick it up from UBC yourself.

2) TR Trades: (on 4th Avenue, near Burrard) – I will provide details when you send me your name.

Anyone who does not meet these deadlines will need to get their poster printed on their own. No exceptions.

Hi Sharon,

Thanks for reaching out to us. Please provide the names of the students as well as the speed chart. If there are fewer than 10 students they can submit the file on our web form (www.it.ubc.ca/printservices).

In the description they must put down BIOINFORMATICS RETREAT in order to receive the discounted rate ($4.00 /sq ft on presentation paper). We require full sized print ready PDF’s for printing –other formats require proofing which is $10.00 and may delay printing. I have attached a copy of our poster guidelines.

If this is a large group (10+ students), we prefer to have one person from your group coordinate and submit the posters. We can take posters in batches if there are quite a few. You may also come down in person with a USB stick (and speak to Edwin).
